Growing up in a small town and fighting cancer in her early teens taught her that life is short and dreams should be pursued. She lives vicariously through her independent, and often hellion characters, exploring all possibilities within the romantic universe.
The Winner of two Watty Awards – Collector's Dream (An Unpredictable Life) and Hidden Gem (Faithfully) – and an Honourable Mention in 2016's Rainbow Awards (A Royal Craving) Elaine is a self-professed geek, reading addict, and a romantic at heart.

Academic Pursuits
Since I discovered Lou Harper's books this year, I've been devouring them, about one a night. They are all amazing, but I think this may be one of my favourites. Jamie is such a hilarious, well developed character, with some real personality. He's a hoot. He's also a self-professed slut.Roger is the epitome of the strong male lead for me, with that mysterious, husky quality and the bad bad boy attitude that is so misread. Yum - him and Jamie together is just dynamite. I even liked all the other boys Jamie hooked up with. I don't normally like promiscuous characters, but he was written so well that it didn't bother me one bit.
It's a great short story (I read it in a few hours), with a brilliant plot and amazing characters.
Funny, smart, smexy and full of hot nerds! What more can a girl (or guy) ask for?
