Elaine White's Life in Books

The Author

Elaine White is the author of multi-genre MM romance, celebrating 'love is love' and offering diversity in both genre and character within her stories.

Growing up in a small town and fighting cancer in her early teens taught her that life is short and dreams should be pursued. She lives vicariously through her independent, and often hellion characters, exploring all possibilities within the romantic universe.

The Winner of two Watty Awards – Collector's Dream (An Unpredictable Life) and Hidden Gem (Faithfully) – and an Honourable Mention in 2016's Rainbow Awards (A Royal Craving) Elaine is a self-professed geek, reading addict, and a romantic at heart.

The Reviewer

I’m an author and reader, who just can’t get away from books. I discovered the MM genre a few years ago and became addicted.

If you want an unadulterated dive into the world of sexual freedom then this is a great little short story for you to sink your teeth into. Exploring themes of friendship, family and relationships along the way, we follow Tony into a quest to discover just why the partners he Tops enjoy it so much. In attempting to Bottom for the first time, he sets up an experiment with like-minded Tops who are interested in sharing the experience: outgoing Butch and shy Ford.

I loved Tony and Ford right from the start. I longed for them to get a little sweet moment together, even something small, but at the same time, the more the story went on and Tony and Butch became friends as well as friends-with-benefits, I wanted them to hook up too, in a more permanent fashion.

The way the story progressed was great. The plot itself had depth and intrigue, moments where I cringed (Tony's dad!) and moments that were too hot to handle. The characters were nicely explored and true to who they were.

Overall, a brilliantly hawt read.
