Elaine White's Life in Books

The Author

Elaine White is the author of multi-genre MM romance, celebrating 'love is love' and offering diversity in both genre and character within her stories.

Growing up in a small town and fighting cancer in her early teens taught her that life is short and dreams should be pursued. She lives vicariously through her independent, and often hellion characters, exploring all possibilities within the romantic universe.

The Winner of two Watty Awards – Collector's Dream (An Unpredictable Life) and Hidden Gem (Faithfully) – and an Honourable Mention in 2016's Rainbow Awards (A Royal Craving) Elaine is a self-professed geek, reading addict, and a romantic at heart.

The Reviewer

I’m an author and reader, who just can’t get away from books. I discovered the MM genre a few years ago and became addicted.

The Death Cure

The Death Cure - James Dashner Wow! That was one emotional rollercoaster full of lies, truths, betrayals, and growth.
I loved the expansion of Brenda's character. She was so much more complex here than in the movies, like a lot of the characters are, and like some of the others, like Ava, she was much more interesting, and her storyline had more depth. Both women had a huge impact on the plot.
There were a lot of questions finally answered, like what was The Flare, where did it come from, why, and how badly was the world hit by it. I loved how it all came together in little pieces, giving us a hint every now and then as to how bad it really had become.
I loved the idea of the Cranks having communities, taking up with each other in groups and supporting each other against Munies and the regular people. The idea of having Immune guards was so clever!
Vince was an interesting character, his plans and motives much more logical and clever than his counterpart from the movie. Just as the entire explanation over Gally's reappearance. Everything just made so much more sense in the books.
And that shock of an ending! That final WICKED memo was a total killer!
Excellently done.
