Elaine White's Life in Books

The Author

Elaine White is the author of multi-genre MM romance, celebrating 'love is love' and offering diversity in both genre and character within her stories.

Growing up in a small town and fighting cancer in her early teens taught her that life is short and dreams should be pursued. She lives vicariously through her independent, and often hellion characters, exploring all possibilities within the romantic universe.

The Winner of two Watty Awards – Collector's Dream (An Unpredictable Life) and Hidden Gem (Faithfully) – and an Honourable Mention in 2016's Rainbow Awards (A Royal Craving) Elaine is a self-professed geek, reading addict, and a romantic at heart.

Daddy

Daddy - Kol Anderson First off, let me say that this was GREAT writing. From almost the first sentence I was sucked into Sammy's head and could feel every second of anticipation, need and all the other crazy emotions flitting through his body. It was intense and incredible.

Now, onto the "daddy" aspect. I'll confess that I read this blind. I hadn't read the blurb, little that there is, because it was rec'd from a friend and I generally love everything they love, so I gave it a shot. Kol Anderson is a new author to me and this was a freebie, which was a great chance for me to sample the writing and style, to see if we were a good fit.

We are!

In this story, you could totally squint and tilt your head sideways to see this as a "daddy" story and not the father-son incest that it is. Regardless, the way Sammy's thoughts run through his head let you know that, although there is totally a creep-factor in how early this all started, the need and love you feel in his thoughts eliminated all of the creepy, gross, incest-y feelings that some other father-son books have given me.

This is a top-class, short piece of touching, emotional genius and I'll definitely be reading more by the author. The only reason it's not a 5 star is because I wanted more! So, so much more. ;)
